Customer issue: Machinery bedplates may have issues with levels and flatness which in turn causes the incorrect alignment of rotating equipment sitting on the bedplates. This leads to worn components and machinery breakdowns.
Perimeter of intervention: Using a laser tracker Metalock will measure the entire surface of the bedplate to establish the deviation from the required tolerance. Then set a portable milling machine using the laser tracker to level and re-machine the surface to remove the minimum amount of material to bring the surface back to within the required tolerance.
