£35,000 - £40,000 a year + Overtime / Allowances / Van / Pension / Sick pay
O.T.E. £57-60k plus daily allowances when away from home.

Metalock UK worldwide based in Coventry. We are looking for experienced Coded Welder to work within an Oil and Gas / Nuclear / Marine / Steel and Industrial sectors.
We require candidates with an experience in using a variety of welding techniques including T.I.G, M.I.G, Flux core welding, all candidates must come from manufacturing/production background.
This is a Permanent opportunity, working with a well-established company (80 years)
Job Dimensions:
As a Coded Welder Fabricator, you will be required to weld a range of components using a variety of welding techniques including T.I.G, M.I.G, flux core welding to specified drawings. Material sizes and thicknesses will vary and will include stainless steel metal from 3mm to 300 mm thickness. In addition, there is a requirement for forming and rolling material.
Typical projects include- Repairing ships / engines / turbines / presses / bridges / heavy industrial plant on a worldwide basis.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Coded welder with experience in PD5500 or ASME9 or similar standards.
- Using a variety of welding techniques, produce components that comply with engineering drawings and other supporting documents.
- TIG / flux core / MIG welding 3mm to 300 mm steel.
- Candidate must have experience in Fabrication.
- Survey of projects on site and report finding back to management
- Be able to talk to customers.
- Travel worldwide / UK and work in our Coventry factory
- Be able to work to instructions / procedures.
- Be responsible for the quality of own work, including the visual inspection of welds and recording heat numbers of both components & consumables where needed.
- Ensure any issues related to the quality of components or equipment are reported immediately to line management.
- Accurately record times taken against each operation and feedback standard time variances to the welding shop supervisor.
- Sign off production orders with relevant information to ensure compliance within the ISO 9001 quality management system.
- Follow all health, safety & environmental policy & procedures to ensure the company upholds and exceeds its legal responsibilities.
- Maintain a clean working area adhering to all housekeeping requirements as specified by your line manager.
- Assist with the training of other employees, including apprentices.
- Use initiative and propose ideas to improve quality, productivity, and cost performance.
- Other reasonable tasks as requested.
