Orbital Machining Technicians: that have trained in and are fully conversant with all orbital machining techniques.

Experienced Machinists: (Turners, Millers, Vertical and Horizontal Borers) who would be willing to train as orbital machining technicians.
These are permanent positions based out of our office in Coventry, England and require the need for extensive overseas travel both on and offshore.
You will be reporting to the Technical Director and Area Managers in Coventry.

Job Requirements
All applicants must be experienced machinists and be able to supply evidence of a fully time served apprenticeship their respective disciplines
Fully conversant with all types of Imperial and Metric measuring equipment.
Willing to work on small, medium and large-scale On-Site machining contracts both onshore and offshore within the UK and Ireland, Mainland Europe and Worldwide.
Specific Responsibilities
To undertake surveys of potential work ensuring that all relevant technical, administrative and commercial information is obtained to enable a viable method to be proposed and a quotation to be prepared.
- Preparation of all orbital machining equipment and associated tooling.
- Carry out on-site surveys worldwide.
- Control of job costs within planned levels.
- Ensure all pre and post machining measurements are recorded for use in QA/QC reporting purposes.
- Completion of Timesheets for submission to the customer for signature.
- Where possible take pictures and video before, during of each job for reporting and promotional purposes.
- To maximise opportunities for additional work on site and negotiate customer acceptance of extra charges.
- To promote and assist in further developing the On-site machining business.
- Mentor and train other technicians in the techniques of on-site orbital machining.
- To ensure that all equipment is properly stored and maintained.
- To ensure that the Companies Health and Safety / Environment policy is always applied.
- To ensure that protective clothing and equipment is properly used.
- To ensure that safe practices are always followed on site.
- To ensure used equipment is correctly packed and stored for return from site and any defects highlighted for the workshop manager.
