On site machining Generator Collector Ring Regrind

We carry out this particular job at many power stations around the world for many different companies.

All generating sets have this “collector ring” situated on the Exciter end of the generator (sometimes described as “slip rings”)

Our on site machining department are seen here re-surfacing the collector ring diameters to remove any scoring or damaged caused by the brush gear that collect and then distributes the electricity that has been generated.
