Ship Stern Tube Seal modifications involving deep hole drilling.

The vessel had been experiencing oil leaks to sea and oil ingress to its stern-tube lubricating system

A new lubrication system was needed that required a new pipe configuration running through holes drilled in the aft and forward prop shaft bearing bosses, and new tapped holes for the outboard AC seal.

Outboard seal - drilled and tapped 24 x M20 holes equi-spaced on a 710mm PCD.

Aft Bearing boss – drilled 4 x  20mm diameter holes x 1030 mm deep drilled through the boss.

Forward bearing boss – drilled 4 x 20mm diameter holes x 400 mm deep drilled through the boss.

Connections from the stern-tube pipe runs to the three tanks, one for the inboard seal, a main header tank and a void space header tank.
